Hello K-C Parents,
Wow! What an EGG-citing week in KC! We had so much fun with our Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Party. I cannot count how many times I heard "This is the best day ever!" or "I'm so excited for today!" or how many smiley faces and laughs I heard from the students. Thank you to everyone who signed up for our Easter Party. Remember that next week is a three-day week and we are off for Easter Break. Also, I heard that the Easter Bunny loves putting school supplies such as crayons, big erasers, and glue sticks in boys' and girls' baskets. Have a fun and safe Easter!
Please continue practicing sight words with your child. From now until the end of the school year we will be learning 6 sight words a week. This can be very tricky since we have not learned so many new words in one week.
Now that the weather is getting cooler, a reminder that the children should wear their navy blue fleece with their regular school uniform and their gray gym uniform sweatshirt with their gym uniform. They can wear a different sweater or fleece to school to be worn outside. Students cannot wear their regular jackets or sweaters in the classroom.
We are 11 points away from earning our fourth Dojo Party!
If your child has a summer birthday and you would like to celebrate it early this year please send me an email. Birthday treats must be store-bought and individually wrapped.
Have a great weekend!
Blizzard Packs
Dr. Lou D’Angelo, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, has stated that we will not be making up any snow days missed for the school year (2020-2021). In place of these potentially missed school days, teachers were asked to make up a packet of schoolwork for students to complete on a snow day. There is a Math and Language Arts page for each missed school day. For example, if we miss one day of school, then students would do all Day 1 work. There is enough work in this packet for 5 days of Math and Language Arts. Please return your child’s work within one week of each missed snow day.
Thank you!
