Applications for the 2021/2022 school year are now being accepted. Please follow the instructions for the application process as detailed below.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the year. Admissions decisions will be communicated to families by January 2021, or about 6 weeks after applying if after January 2021.
If you are interested in touring our facilities or recieving communications regarding admissions, please fill out a New Family Interest Form so you will be added to our Prospective Families email list. Any admissions updates or tour dates will be communicated through the Prospective Families email list, in addition to being posted on our website.
SMM will be hosting personal school tours on Sunday, January 31st, from 1-3pm, to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. All visitors to SMM will be required to wear a mask while on campus, and tours will be socially distanced with staggered start times to allow families to move through our facilities in personal groups.

The application to SMM is processed through the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington's application portal. All families must complete a pre-registration form with the Diocese requesting an application to the Catholic school of their choice. St. Mary Magdalen approves these pre-registrations each weekday, so families will receive an application with directions included via email once their pre-registration has been approved (typically within 48 hours).
Completing the St. Mary Magdalen School Application
Prior to getting started, you will need the following documents scanned and available to upload with your application:
A copy of your child’s birth certificate
A copy of a recent report card(s) for applicants to 1st thru 8th grade.
Once your pre-registration has been approved, an email will be sent to the primary email listed on the pre-registration form. This email is from the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington (CDOW) and details instructions on how to set up a PowerSchool account and complete a student application to St. Mary Magdalen. If you already have a PowerSchool account for a child currently attending a CDOW school, your instructions will detail how to add a new child to your existing account. The email includes a unique access ID and Password that links your application to your pre-registration form.
Once your PowerSchool account is active or a new child has been added to yoru existing account, you will need to complete the Enrollment Forms within PowerSchool. All forms, and the included uploaded documents are required to complete an application. You will receive a confirmation when your forms have been submitted.
Applicants to St. Mary Magdalen School are required to pay a non-refundable $100 application fee to complete the submission of an application. This fee can be paid securely online HERE, or by check, mailed to St. Mary Magdalen School. If mailing your application fee, please include the applicant's name on the memo of the check.
