It was another great week in 1C! The boys and girls once again earned 30 marbles for another marble party! And I still owe them a marble party from last time! We will celebrate next Friday.
Our First Grade hallway is all in bloom! This week the children made beautiful spring flowers with an adjective on each petal to describe Spring. We will be building on to our hallway bulletin board with butterflies and catepillars. Spring has sprung!
On Tuesday, 4/20, the children will have their Math Chapter 7 Test. I wll send home their book the night before for them to study with you.
All parents should continue to conduct the health screening each morning before leaving for school. Thank you for reviewing proper mask wearing with your child. I remind them often to pull their mask up over their nose. Safe practices are very important as we continue to stay helathy at school.
Enjoy your week!

Dear Parents,
The Diocese of Wilmington has requested that we assemble Blizzard Packets for the students as we approach the winter months. Dr. Lou DiAngelo, our superintendent, feels it is very important for students to complete school assignments if or when we experience snow days. To eliminate calendar changes and make up days, each student will be required to complete five days of assignments for each subject area.
Blizzard Packets are designed so that each child will complete one day of assignments when a snow day interrupts our schedule. Students will be held accountable for these packets and assignments will be collected and graded. Blizzard Packet assignments are due back to school one week after the snow day. For example, if school is closed due to snow on a Wednesday, the Day 1 assignments will be due back to school the following Wednesday. If school is cancelled again on Thursday, Day 2 assignments will be due back to school the following Thursday and so on.
This year, in an effort to reduce printing costs, the Blizzard Packets will be available electronically on the class webpage. It is recommended that you print out the assignments in advance of inclement weather. If you are unable to print the Blizzard Packet on your own please let me know.
Thank you as always for your support.

Files:
1. Please remember to check the green folder and Homework Organizer daily. Review, check, correct, and initial your child's homework each evening.
2. Please check Friday Folders each week and sign and return any stamped tests in the same folder on Monday.
3. Please send a note if there will be a change in the established dismissal schedule. You can also call the school office. Do not rely on emails as I may not have a chance to check this throughout the day.
4. Please label all of the children's items with their full names and 1C including clothing, lunch boxes, water bottles, etc.
